Film Production

Learn to think like a filmmaker and produce your own short film in a program that offers comprehensive coursework in film crafts like cinematography, screenwriting, editing and sound. You’ll also study film culture and test your ideas in hands-on film workshops. If you want to walk on set directly after graduation, this is the program for you.

From your first semester through your final year, you’ll use state-of-the-art equipment and learn about the latest workflow practices in order to support your effort to make a festival-worthy short film before you graduate.

OCU is the only university in ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ that offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production.

Recent graduates have worked on feature film projects like "Killers of the Flower Moon," "Minari" and "Twisters" as well as TV shows like "Reservation Dogs," "Tulsa King" and "Somebody Somewhere." Recent graduate Cody Wilson was part of the team that produced the 2021 Academy Award-winning documentary short, "The Queen of Basketball."
