The Petree College of Arts & Sciences offers merit based and competitive scholarship opportunities.

Description

The OCU Academic Merit scholarship is based on grade point average. To receive the OCU Academic Merit Scholarship, incoming first-year students must submit their application and all required documents* by March 1. After the deadline, scholarship amounts are not guaranteed. Full-time enrollment of 12 or more hours per semester is required for the scholarship. Awards are reÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥able up to seven consecutive semesters (excluding summer terms) with a required minimum cumulative 3.0 unweighted GPA. ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ City University recalculates every high school grade point average on a standard 4.0 scale.**

*Required documents include application, application essay, official high school transcript, high school counselor's recommendation form, and $55 application fee.

**All Pre-AP, Pre-IB, and Honors courses are weighted on a 4.5 point scale (A=4.5, B=3.5, C=2.5, D=1.5), and AP, IB, or Concurrent courses are weighted on a 5 point scale (A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2). Our calculation will be used for admission and scholarship purposes.

There are two OKCPS Scholarships, OKCPS Scholarship and the OKCPS Academic Success Scholarship, for students enrolled in the ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ City Public School System. 

Your application for admission will also be your application for competitive scholarships. Additional information may be required for some scholarships. 

  • Students must have applied and submit all supporting documents by Dec. 15 to be considered for competitive scholarships.

Transfer students coming directly from an ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ higher education institution with at least a minimum 3.0 cumulative college GPA and enrolling in the Petree College of Arts & Sciences will automatically be awarded a transfer award. Transfer academic and departmental scholarships are also available.
